The Bohin Applique size 11 needle is my favorite! The eye is sanded so it doesn't cut your thread the way others can!

Pentel Hybrid Gel pens are great markers for hand applique and piecing or machine piecing! Their no smudge, acid free, medium ball tip, permanent ink is so fabric friendly! My favorite color is the Metallic Silver which shows well on both light and dark fabrics. One student in a machine piecing class said it 'glowed' under the presser foot light helping her see her stitching line on the back side of a fabric!
